Professor Leon Terry has been appointed as ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation, taking up the post on 1 August 2021. He will be responsible for continuing to drive excellence in ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s transformational research across the University.
Professor Sir Peter Gregson, Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, said: “I’m delighted that Professor Terry will be leading ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s research and innovation agenda. He has led our Environment and Agrifood theme with distinction, securing investment in leading agri-tech facilities and overseeing ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s Queen’s Anniversary Prize for soil science.
“Professor Terry has an outstanding record of delivering world-leading research and innovation, in particularly in partnerships with businesses such as PepsiCo, Unilever and Johnson Matthey.”
