Contact Dr Alexandros Giannouloudis
Background
Alexandros Giannouloudis is a Research Fellow within the Centre for Aeronautics, Propulsion and Power, working on experimental aerodynamics of aero-engine intakes. In this role he has participated in a number of industry-funded projects focusing on the application of non-intrusive flow-field measurements in challenging industrial environments.
In 2018 he joined ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ to pursue a PhD in experimental hydrogen combustion, in the context of which he designed, built and tested a high-pressure rig to assess the NOx emissions of hydrogen micromix burners.
He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (MEng) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and has been a member of the British Section of the Combustion Institute since 2019.
Research opportunities
advanced non-intrusive measurement techniques, aerodynamics, hydrogen combustion
Current activities
Non-intrusive flow-field measurements (S-PIV) of complex intakes for aircraft propulsion systems.
